Artists from Juneau Projects collaborated with students from Elmlea Primary School, St Mary Redcliffe Primary School, and Frome Vale Academy to create something truly special. They worked together to sculpt, draw, and cut out a moss habitat, exploring the tiny world of microorganisms and the creatures that call it home.
Now, you can see the incredible results of their hard work at Arnolfini on display until 16 July 2023. The exhibition, called “Moss Habitats: A Schools Exhibition,” is a collaboration with Bridges for Communities‘ Bristol School Linking program. This program brings together year 5 classes from different schools in Bristol, helping students build friendships, foster togetherness, and challenge stereotypes and prejudices.
The exhibition is part of an exciting public art project happening between Arnolfini and UWE Bristol. Together with Juneau Projects, they are working on creating a new public artwork for UWE Frenchay. This project will unfold throughout 2022-23.
