Artists’ Moving Image: Contemporary Practices
Sat 2 Jul 2.00pm – 5.00pm
The Magical Consciousness exhibition offers a timely opportunity to explore some of the ways that current artists are working with the moving image. This short workshop seminar explores the ideas behind contemporary practices, discussing some of the contradictions and diversities of the current landscape in artists moving image culture and considering what new practices and ways of thinking about film have emerged in recent times. We will screen and discuss and contextualize a number of recent artist works, including moving image works on display in the galleries.
Price includes entry to film screenings at 5.30pm in the cinema which follow the workshop.
