Launching 4 Days, Heather Phillipson presents the latest episode of her ‘talking pictures’ – intercuts of video, sound and live voice.
Proposing the gallery space as both cabin and head, the room is a box – the high-speed container – and the audience its immobile passengers. The screen (projected) is the window and the retina. ‘PRESSURIZATION’ adopts the tropes of non-stop flight, minus the interesting destination. Authority, velocity, vistas and body-parts: where are my crisps, where are we going?
‘PRESSURIZATION’ features musician/performer Edwin Burdis who also takes part elsewhere in the 4 Days programme.
Please note 1: This performance is ten minutes long. It packs a lot into each minute, so don’t be late. There is no admittance after the event starts.
Please note 2: A limited number of tickets are available for this event. Entry is free but you will be asked to join the 4 Days mailing list to qualify for a ticket.
